[origin: WO2017103396A1] The invention relates to a vice-type terminal block (50) for electrically connecting a pair of thimbles (10) by clamping them together, each thimble (10) comprising a barrel (11) extending along an axis and a radially extending surface (12) connected to said barrel (11), said surface (12) having, on the opposite side to where the barrel (11) is located, an electrical contact surface (13) normal to said axis, the vice-type terminal block (50) comprising two opposing plates (51, 52) and a clamping system, each plate (51, 52) comprising a slot (61, 62) for receiving one of said thimbles (10) such that the surface (12) of the thimble (10) is substantially on one side of the plate (51, 52), whereas the barrel (11) is on the other side, the vice-type terminal block (50) supporting the pair of thimbles (10) such that their electrical contact surfaces (13) face each other and are substantially aligned.
