[origin: JP2018184955A] PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum apparatus having a compact seal device.SOLUTION: A seal device (21) has a rotor element (27), and the rotor element is non-rotatably connected to a shaft (13). The seal device (21) has a first stator element (23), and the stator element is non-rotatably arranged. At that time, a first gap having an entrance opening is formed between the first stator element (23) and the rotor element (27), and the entrance opening is opened toward a space containing a lubricant. The first gap has an exit opening opposite to the entrance opening, and the exit opening is connected to a first expansion space. The first expansion space has a larger cross-sectional area than that of the first gap and is formed by wall portions of the rotor element (27) and the first stator element (23).
