[origin: WO2017114663A1] The invention is directed to a tap (12) for gas cylinder, comprising a body (14) with a threaded gas inlet extending along a longitudinal axis (16) and adapted to be connected to a collar of the gas cylinder, a gas outlet (10) and a gas delivery passage interconnecting said inlet and outlet; a shut-off device of the passage, said device comprising a seat in the delivery passage and a shutter extending through and cooperating with said seat; and a lever (82) adapted for moving the shutter against a delivery flow direction in the delivery passage from the inlet towards the outlet, in order to open the shut-off device. The lever (82) is rotatable around a transversal axis (19) that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (16) or that forms an angle with said perpendicular that is less than 30°, preferably less than 20°, more preferably less than 10°.
