[origin: WO2017157433A1] A method for detecting a change in the position of an entity relative to its surroundings, wherein the method uses at least two smart devices, each smart device having one camera, the cameras of the smart devices being set up to obtain a respective picture frame of an entity present in the field of view of the cameras and the smart devices being connected to each other via a wireless network and/or a direct communication link; and the method comprises the steps of capturing picture frames of the entity with each camera of the at least two smart devices, and processing the captured picture frames to obtain information about the change in the position of the entity.
