[origin: WO2017121960A1] A manual device for applying a coating on a substrate using a tape, the device comprising an applicator end piece (14) attached to a casing such that it projects therefrom, the end piece (14) extending along a longitudinal direction (X) and a lateral direction, wherein the applicator en piece comprises a coupling portion (14a) for attaching same to the casing, an application portion (14b) for applying the coating to the substrate, and a rod (14c) extending in the longitudinal direction (X) between the coupling portion (14a) and the application portion (14b), the rod (14c) being elastically deformable such that the application portion (14b) is movable between a rest position and an application position, the rod (14c) being an isostress rod.
