[origin: WO2017067556A1] The invention concerns a method for filling gas on gas cylinders with pressures greater than 50 bar in an automatic gas cylinder filling facility, the method including at least the following steps: a gas cylinder is placed in a filler carousel, the gas cylinder is positioned by means of a geometric positioning system, a filler adapter is fitted, and the gas cylinder is filled, whereby it is achieved that the filling can be effected fully automatically without an operator, thereby eliminating ergonomic problems and safety issues by having any persons close to the gas filling of cylinder with pressures up to e.g. 300 bar.
