[origin: WO2017125116A1] The invention relates to a tool for overmoulding a moulded part on an extrudate (2), wherein the extrudate (2) and the moulded part are provided to form a seal, in particular on a vehicle body, and at least the extrudate (2) can be attached to a carrier flange, with multiple tool parts (7, 8) bordering a moulding space (3) together with the extrudate (2), said tool parts comprising a base part (7) and a closure part (8) to be mounted on the base part (7) with the closure of the moulding space (3), wherein one of the tool parts (8) is provided with a flange (15) accommodating the extrudate (2). According to the invention, the flange (15) protrudes from the closure part (8) in a direction towards the base part (7). In particular, the base part forms a lower tool part (7) and the closure part forms an upper tool part (8).
