[origin: WO2017129867A1] The invention relates to a structure (8) that is able to support a panoramic roof (4), this structure (8) being fitted in an opening (15) in a body (2) of a motor vehicle (1), the opening (15) being defined by two roof arches (12) that extend substantially along a longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle (1), a front crossmember (13) and a rear crossmember (14) that extend substantially transversely to the longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle (1), the structure (8) being provided with at least one pair of lateral supports (17) that are spaced apart from one another. The supports (17) are connected together by a central roof bow (16), said lateral supports each extending substantially parallel to the roof arches (12) from the front crossmember (13) while the central roof bow (16) extends substantially parallel to the rear crossmember (14), each lateral support (17) of the structure (8) comprising an extension (27) that extends from the central roof bow (16) and extends the lateral support (17) as far as the rear crossmember (14).
