[origin: US2018346206A1] A closure for a container, including a base part, which can be fastened to a container opening in the container and has an outlet opening, and a hinged lid, which can pivot about a pivot axis towards the base part and closes the outlet opening in the base part in a closed position. The invention is wherein the base part has two opposing shoulders, the hinged lid being between the two shoulders in the closed position, and the two shoulders projecting beyond the hinged lid in a vertical direction. The hinged lid is therefore protected from impacts coming from the side and from above.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verschluss (1) für einen Behälter (2), umfassend ein Basisteil (10), das an einer Behälteröffnung (3) des Behälters (2) befestigbar ist und eine Auslassöffnung (18) aufweist, und einen Klappdeckel (30), der um eine Schwenkachse zum Basisteil (10) schwenkbar ist und in einer geschlossenen Stellung die Auslassöffnung (18) des Basisteils (10) verschließt. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Basisteil (10) zwei gegenüberstehende Schultern (13, 14) aufweist, wobei in der geschlossenen Stellung der Klappdeckel (30) zwischen den beiden Schultern (13, 14) liegt und die beiden Schultern (13, 14) den Klappdeckel (30) in einer vertikalen Richtung überragen. Der Klappdeckel (30) wird so vor Stößen von der Seite und von oben geschützt.
