[origin: WO2017133854A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a fuel supply system, by means of which an internal combustion engine can be supplied with a gaseous fuel and with a liquid fuel. The gaseous fuel is drawn from a first storage line (1) and is injected directly into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine by means of an injection valve (2) connected to the first storage line (1). The pressure in the first storage line (1) is regulated by a pressure regulating device (3), which comprises at least one hydraulically controlled valve (4, 5), on the basis of a pressure in an additional storage line (6) for the liquid fuel. According to the invention, a pressure which is reduced compared to the pressure in the additional storage line (6) is used as the control pressure in order to hydraulically control the valve (4, 5). A throttle (7) is used to reduce the pressure, said throttle being arranged in a branch line (8) which connects the valve (4, 5) to the additional storage line (6). The invention further relates to a fuel supply system which is suitable for carrying out the method.
