[origin: EP3412469A1] An image recording apparatus configured to irradiate a recording target with laser light to record an image includes a plurality of laser emission parts 42a that are disposed side by side in the Z-axis direction and are configured to emit laser light; an optical unit configured to collect a plurality of beams of laser light emitted by the laser emission parts 42a onto a surface of the recording target moving in a direction orthogonal to the Z-axis direction; and an output control unit configured to perform control such that energy of laser light emitted from a laser emission part positioned at an end for emitting laser light to be transmitted through the vicinity of an end portion of the optical unit, of the laser emission parts 42a, is greater than energy of laser light emitted from a laser emission part other than the laser emission part positioned at an end.
