Abstract (en)
A lock for doors of vehicles, of the type of vans, trucks, lorries, semitrailer trucks, trailers and the like, which comprises: a base (2) that comprises a flat slab (2a) that can be stably applied to a door of the vehicle, the door being usually arranged in a configuration to close an opening provided in a containment structure of the vehicle, of the type of a body and the like; a lever (3) for moving a spring latch (4), which can move between at least one protruding position, in which it can engage with a retention element arranged along the containment structure, in order to keep the door in the closed configuration, and at least one position in which it is retracted; an assembly (5) for coupling and mutual decoupling of the lever (3) and of the spring latch (4), which can be selectively actuated by way of a respective key-operated contrivance (6); an outer shell (7), coupled by interlocking, directly or indirectly, with the base (2), for covering and protecting the base (2) and the assembly (5); the shell (7) comprises a main plate (7a), which has an outline that is adapted to cover the slab (2a) and is folded along the edges, in order to define a perimetric band (7b) placed on the slab (2a); the base (2) comprises an end lug (2b), which is folded with respect to the slab (2a) and is stably anchored, by way of first fixing means (8) such as screws, nails, and the like, to an end lip (7c) of the shell (7), which is folded with respect to the plate (7a) and is arranged at a break in continuity of the band (7b), which is provided in order to allow the transit of the spring latch (4).
