A media processing system comprising a print engine having a maximum print speed, a print job queue of print jobs to be processed according to specified print job settings per print job and according to a print order determined by the print job queue, a print controller to control the processing of the print jobs, and a user interface screen. The print controller is configured to determine, according to an original set of the specified print job settings and according to the print order determined by the print job queue, an achievable average print speed of the media processing system for printing the print jobs in the print queue, the achievable average print speed being lower than the maximum print speed due to the original set of the specified print job settings and to the print order, to establish a realised average print speed of the media processing system of printing the print jobs in the print queue, and to notify a user of the media processing system by simultaneously displaying on the user interface screen a value of the realised average print speed and a value of the achievable average print speed.
