[origin: WO2017139458A1] Exemplary embodiments of a detachable hood are provided that are portable, can attach to a jacket and/or can be folded into a pouch for easy portability. An apparatus can be provided having an article shaped and configured to cover at least a top portion of a user's head, and a pouch connected to the article having an opening, wherein the article is configured to be fully inserted into the pouch through the opening. An apparatus is further provided comprising a hood shaped article configured to cover a user's head, the hood shaped article having a top portion, a first side portion and a second side portion, wherein the first side portion and the second portion each have a bottom portion having an inner portion and an outer portion separate from each other.
