[origin: WO2017140292A1] The invention relates to an LED conversion kit for external luminaires. The object of providing a conversion kit of this kind which constitutes a multiple-use LED conversion kit for an extremely wide variety of standard luminaires given a uniform technical and structural design with standardized individual components and which can be mounted on suitably provided fastening areas always with a standard mechanical mounting interface such that rotatable orientation in the direction of the road is possible, without changing the original orientation of the luminaire head, is achieved in that an LED module assembly (1) which, by way of its base plate, is mounted flat and flush on a thermally conductive mounting board (2) and is connected to the mounting board (2) and the LED module assembly is designed to be completely hermetically sealed to at least IP65 by an additional housing and at least one insulation means which connects said additional housing to the mounting board (2) in a sealing manner, and the current connection (14) of the LED module assembly (1) is guided through the mounting board (2) to the opposite plane of said mounting board, wherein the mounting board (2) is provided with a mechanical carrier element (31, 32) on that plane which is situated opposite the LED module assembly, on which mechanical carrier element, at a distance from the mounting board (2), customary power supply operating devices (4) and luminaire terminals for direct connection to a mast connection line (6) are provided, wherein the mounting board (2) projects laterally concentrically beyond the additional housing in such a way that a contact area can be formed, which contact area ensures flat heat transfer to an intermediate mounting board (9) which is provided with a round aperture for receiving the additional housing, wherein the mounting board (2) is provided on its outer boundary region with elongate holes (21) which are arranged in circles which are concentric with respect to the mounting board (2), into which elongate holes fastening and locking means (23) engage for the purpose of connection to the intermediate mounting board (9) so as to transfer heat.
