[origin: WO2017144081A1] The invention relates to a closure module (1) for closing a container opening (5) of a container (2) by means of a lid (3), wherein the lid (3) has a lid flange (7) and the container (2) has a container flange (6) in the region of the container opening (5). The closure module (1) has a supporting unit (8) having a supporting surface (8a) and has a pressing unit (9) having a pressing surface (9b) for pressing the lid flange (7) and the container flange (6) of the container opening (5) together. In order to simplify the construction of the closure module and reduce the load on the container during the closing process, the supporting unit (8) and the pressing unit (9) can be slid in relation to each other in an axial direction in such a way that the lid flange (7) and the container flange (6) can be pressed together by an axial force (FA) between the supporting surface (8a) and the pressing surface (9a) in the operating state.
