The multi-chamber capsule system (600) comprises a multi-chamber capsule (100) having an outer shell (200), which has an outer bottom (103), an outer sidewall (102) and an outer lid (104), which form an overall cavity of the multi-chamber capsule (100). In addition, the multi-chamber capsule (100) comprises at least one inner shell (220), which is arranged inside the overall cavity of the multi-chamber capsule (100) and which forms a second chamber (120) to receive a second volume of a second contained substance (121). Here, a remaining cavity of the multi-chamber capsule (100) is formed by the overall cavity minus the at least one inner shell (220), as a first chamber (110) to receive a first volume of a first contained substance (111). The multi-chamber capsule system (600) comprises further means (310, 410) in order to open the inner shell (220) of the multi-chamber capsule (100) and in order to convey the second contained substance (121) out of the second chamber (120) into the first chamber (110), such that a mixture (101) which completely comprises the first contained substance (111) and the second contained substance (121) is produced in the multi-chamber capsule (100).
