[origin: WO2017144798A1] Ironing appliance comprising a cordless clothes iron (1) comprising a heated sole plate (3) provided with an ironing surface (30) intended to come into contact with the laundry and a recharging base (2) on which the clothes iron (1) is disposed during inactive ironing phases, the appliance comprising an electrical connector comprising a first part (7) secured to the recharging base (2) and a second part (8) secured to the clothes iron (1) and also a magnetic attraction device (75, 85) that generates a force that tends to connect the first and second parts (7, 8) of the connector, characterized in that the force generated by the magnetic attraction device (75, 85) also ensures the clothes iron (1) is stably balanced in a recharging position in which the clothes iron (1) is electrically connected to the base (2) by the connector and the sole plate (3) is only in contact with the ambient air, said recharging position corresponding to a position in which the clothes iron (1) would be unstable in the absence of said magnetic attraction device.
