[origin: WO2019002332A1] The invention relates to an odour trap element for installation in an outflow, in particular in the outflow of a waterless urinal (41), comprising - a collection container (10) for collecting wastewater (14) having an inflow opening (11) and an outlet opening (12), and - a first pipe portion (20) adjoining the outlet opening (12), and - a second pipe portion (30) following on downstream from the first pipe portion (20) and having an outflow opening (31) for connection to a wastewater connection (43), and - an overflow edge (22) formed between the first pipe portion (20) and the second pipe portion (30), which overflow edge is formed in the end region of a wall (21) delimiting the first pipe portion (20) and is directly connected to said end region, wherein the first pipe portion (20) jointly with the collection container (10) forms a siphon when there is liquid in the collection container (10) and reaches in the first pipe portion (20) as far as the overflow edge (22). According to the invention the overflow edge lies in a liquid level plane (22) and the end region of the wall (21) on which the overflow edge (22) is formed and the liquid level plane (23) are arranged at an angle (β') to one another between 30° and 55°, in particular at an angle (β') to one another between 35° and 50°.
