Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017151419A1] A resealable container lid assembly (510, 560), including a cap (560), rotationally assembled to a lid (510). The cap (560) rotates between storage, opening, removal and resealing positions. Operation between the cap (560)) and the lid (510) employs any suitable mechanical interface, such as cam tracks (552, 556) and cam followers integral with the cap cylindrical exterior sidewalk The lid (510) includes a tear panel (538) defined by a score line (536). Features of the cap (560) are used to impinge upon the lid (510) to fracture the score line (536) and open the tear panel (538). Once opened, the cap (560) can reseal the container (500). The seal (565) can be provided between a bottom surface (564) of the cap (560) and the top surface of the cap receiving socket bottom wall (534) of the lid (510) a feature of the sidewalls of the cap and a corresponding mating surface or any other sealing interface. The cap (560) can include a tamper indicator (528). The cap (560)) can be replaced with any other cap (560) or any cap of a variety of specialized caps which may or may not include accessories designed for different functions.
