A vacuum-cleaner suction tube (1) which provides for reliable and leakage-free connection to an attachment element, any kind of plastics materials being used for the attachment element, is realized in that the actuating mechanism (4) blocks an axial movement of the end sleeve (5) relative to the outer tube (3), and in that the inner tube (2) blocks an inwardly directed radial movement of the actuating mechanism (4) relative to the outer tube (3).
