[origin: WO2017157621A1] The invention relates to medical workspace which comprises a magnetic resonance device (11) and a medical robot (1, 31). The medical robot (1, 31) comprises a robot arm (2) that has a plurality of limbs (4) that are arranged in succession and connected by way of hinges (3), and a fastening apparatus (5), which are respectively manufactured, at least in part, from a magnetic material. The medical robot (1, 31) comprises an electronic control apparatus (10), drives that are connected to the electronic control apparatus (10) and provided to move the robot arm (2), and a lengthening apparatus (6, 36) that is fastened to the fastening apparatus (5) at one of its ends and comprises a holding apparatus (7, 37) for fastening a medical instrument (8) at its other end. The lengthening apparatus (6, 36) is manufactured completely from a nonmagnetic material, at least in the regions outside of that end at which the lengthening apparatus (6, 36) is fastened to the fastening device (5) and the medical robot (1, 31) is configured to move the medical instrument (8) into a treatment region of the magnetic resonance device (11).
