[origin: WO2017157516A1] A card-type data carrier according to the invention comprises a planar card body (1) with a multi-layer construction, a top side O and an underside U. The card body (1) further comprises inter alia a holographic strip (2) and a planar banded film layer (3) having alternating transparent (3a) and substantially opaque (3b) band regions. The banded film layer (3) is positioned in the card body (1) over the holographic strip (2) such that said holographic strip (2) can be viewed in reflected light on the top side O of the card body (1) only through the transparent regions (3a) of the banded film layer (3).
