Abstract (en)

A method for cold spray deposition of a material on a Substrate (100), comprising the steps of entraining a metal powder material in a stream of accelerant gas (104) comprising hydrogen; forming a flow of shield gas (106) around the stream of accelerant gas (104); and impacting the substrate (100) with the stream of accelerant gas (104) whereby the metal powder material is deposited on the substrate (100).
