Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017162373A1] A rotor braking device and a method for controlling a hydrodynamic transmission unit having a brake pad (2) and a pressing element (6), designed in such a way that, when the rotor brake is activated, the pressing element (6) presses the brake pad (2) against a rotational element (3) of the hydrodynamic transmission unit, and thus the rotational element (3) can be braked, wherein the rotor braking device is designed such that the brake pad (2) can be moved from a starting position in which the rotor brake is open first into a braking position in which the brake pad (2) is in contact with the rotational element (3) and then, while the contact is maintained, a piece can be moved in the circumferential direction of the rotational element (3) so that the rotational element (3) can thereby be moved correspondingly along with it.
