[origin: WO2017162972A1] A metering valve for dispensing a fluid product, comprising a valve body (10) containing a metering chamber (20), a valve (30) sliding axially in said valve body (10) between a rest position and a dispensing position in order to dispense selectively the content of said metering chamber (20), said valve (30) comprising a flange (320) and being biased towards its rest position by a spring (8) co-operating with said valve body (10) and with said valve (30), wherein the valve body (10) has a cylindrical valve body portion (15) in which the flange (320) of the valve (30) slides between its rest and dispensing positions, the cylindrical valve body portion (15) having a plurality of longitudinal ribs (100) extending at least over a part of the height of said cylindrical valve body portion (15), which longitudinal ribs (100) project radially inwards and act on the flange (320) of the valve (30) to substantially centre the flange (320) in the cylindrical valve body portion (15).
