[origin: WO2017165899A1] The present invention relates to firearms and shows a novel way of mounting the barrel in the system housing. Earlier solutions for mounting the barrel in the system housing in the form of a clamp did not provide the possibility of attaching the sight devices directly to the locking region but merely allowed attachment separately from the barrel. Following removal of the barrel and remounting thereof, recalibration of the sight axis to the barrel axis is usually necessary in these earlier solutions. In the presented invention, this problem is eliminated by means of an innovation in the design of the clamping mechanism between the barrel (1) and the system housing (3). With this novel clamping mechanism, sight devices can now be attached directly to the closure region of the barrel, thereby allowing removal of the barrel and remounting thereof without any loss of the sight axis setting with regard to the barrel axis.
