[origin: WO2017167327A1] The invention relates to a locking device (1) for plug connectors, comprising a first locking means (10) and a second locking means (20). The two locking means (10, 20) can be plugged together and engaged with one another. At least one blocking element (12) is provided for engaging the first locking means (10) with the second locking means (20). The blocking element (12) is suitable for mechanical engaging and can be actuated and released via an actuator (13). In addition, another actuator (15) is arranged in the first locking means (10) or in the second locking means (20) to protect against failure of the locking device (1). The engaging of the two locking means (10, 20) can be released by the actuator (15), even when the actuator (15) fails. The first locking means (10) and the second locking means (20) are provided for use in a plug and a corresponding counter plug.
