[origin: WO2017171917A1] A method for synchronizing times across a plurality of base stations in a frequency division duplexing (FDD) wireless communications network includes receiving, at a plurality of base stations in the network, at least one timing reference signal associated with an external time reference, comparing the timing reference signal to internal clock times of the plurality of base stations, receiving an instruction to perform an activity at a time relative to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and performing the activity, by the plurality of base stations, at the time relative to UTC.
