[origin: EP3439133A1] There is provided an electric power supply device including: a switch interposed between an electric power system and a predetermined load to which electric power needs to be supplied in an uninterrupted manner in a power failure; a power storage system having a secondary battery, a first charging and discharging unit interposed between the secondary battery and the electric power system, and a second charging and discharging unit interposed between the secondary battery and the predetermined load; and a control unit configured to control the switch, the first charging and discharging unit, and the second charging and discharging unit, in which when system abnormality occurs, the control unit causes the switch to open to disconnect between the electric power system and the predetermined load, the first charging and discharging unit to cause reverse power flow for a prescribed time, and the second charging and discharging unit to supply electric power to the predetermined load.
