[origin: WO2017174263A1] The invention relates to a fastening device (20) for fastening a diagonal strut of scaffolding (10) to a first stanchion (12). The fastening device (20) can be interlocked with the first stanchion (12) by means of a projection (40) engaging in a first stanchion opening (42), in particular in the form of a through-opening. The diagonal strut can be fastened to a diagonal coupling (38) of the fastening device (20). Preferably, the diagonal coupling (38) is directly connected to the projection (40). The fastening device (20) also has a vertical coupling (36) which is connected to the diagonal coupling (38). Removal of the projection (40) from the stanchion opening (42) can be prevented by means of the vertical coupling (36).
