[origin: WO2017161912A1] A display panel, a transparent display apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The display panel comprises a first substrate (1), a second substrate (2) facing the first substrate (1), and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate (1) and the second substrate (2). The liquid crystal layer comprises a mixture of nematic liquid crystal (9) and a macromolecular network (8), configured such that the display panel can switch between a first state and a second state upon application of an electrical field between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein in the first state, light in the liquid crystal layer is scattered out of the display panel, and in the second state, light in the liquid crystal layer is totally reflected between the first substrate (1) and the second substrate (2).
