[origin: WO2017200542A1] A repressive sweetener composition comprising at least two sugar alcohols, monk fruit, a rheology modifier, and tagatose wherein the repressive sweetener composition has a glycemic index that is less than a sum of the glycemic index of each component of the repressive sweetener composition. A sweetener composition prepared by: (i) dry blending in a fluidized bed a rheology modifier, tagatose, stevia extract, xanthan gum, a flavor blend, erythritol, and a second sugar alcohol to form a first mixture; (ii) spray depositing water onto the first mixture to generate a wet mixture; and (iii) removing excess moisture from the wet mixture to generate granules.
