[origin: WO2017182114A1] The invention concerns improvements in the field of producing so-called bristle units (1) used on brushes (2), in particular toothbrushes. The invention proposes, inter alia, a bristle unit (1) which has a carrier plate (3). The carrier plate (3) comprises a front side (4) and a rear side (5), which is directed away from the front side (4), and also a plurality of perforations (6), which pass through the carrier plate (3). The perforations (6) have a retaining portion (6a), which has a cross section which is constant along its longitudinal axis, and accommodate clusters (8, 10) of bristles. In a bristle arrangement (7) of the bristle unit (1), at least one of the clusters (8, 10) of bristles is a slanting cluster (10) of bristles, which is arranged in the associated perforation (6) in an angled position, at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of said perforation (6), and is fused, and fastened on the carrier plate (3), in the selected angled position. The result is a bristle unit (1) which involves simplified production.
