Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2017182841A1] The application provides a controller unit for a vehicle side view mirror. The controller unit includes a driver facial directional detector module, a driver hand gesture detector module, and a computing processor. The facial directional detector module includes a driver facial recognition camera port for receiving image data of a drive face, and a driver facial directional detector for determining directional data of the face according to the facial image data. The gesture detector module includes a driver hand recognition camera port for receiving image data of a driver hand, and a driver hand gesture detector for determining driver hand gesture data according t the hand image data. The computing processor is adapted for generating an activation signal for a vehicle side-view mirror actuator according to the driver face directional data and ac cording to the hand gesture data. The computing processor the sends the actuator activation signal to the mirror actuator.
