Abstract (en)

[origin: GB2549531A] A deformable container 10 that is suitable for use in a dishwasher or washing machine comprises an interior volume 15 for a fluid, an outlet (70, fig 3C) fluidly connected to the interior volume 15. A portion of the container 10 is deformable on reaching a predetermined temperature to reduce the size of the interior volume 15 thus forcing the fluid out from the container via the outlet (70, fig 3C). A seal 45 at the outlet (70, fig 3C) is openable by the fluid forced from the interior volume 15 when the container 10 is heated and the size of the interior volume 15 is reduced. Preferably, the seal 45 is operable to open and the interior volume 15 is partially reduced at a first predetermined temperature and the interior volume 15 is further reduced in size at a second, higher predetermined temperature. A method for dispensing a fluid from a deformable container and a method of manufacturing a deformable container are also disclosed.
