[origin: WO2017182480A1] The present invention relates to a marking apparatus for a drinking vessel, having an electronic circuit, wherein the electronic circuit comprises a transmitter circuit for transmitting a signal, a processing circuit for processing an item of information and a permanent memory, wherein the processing circuit is connected to the transmitter circuit in such a manner that an item of information processed by the processing circuit can be emitted by the transmitter circuit as a signal, wherein the processing circuit is connected to the permanent memory in such a manner that an item of information can be read from the permanent memory and can be processed in the processing circuit, wherein the marking apparatus has, in addition to the electronic circuit, a fastening element for fastening the electronic circuit to the drinking vessel, wherein the electronic circuit is connected to the fastening element, and wherein the fastening element has a concave accommodation section in which a section of the drinking vessel can be accommodated in a form-fitting manner.
