Verfahren zum Behandeln einer spänebelasteten Flüssigkeit (16) in einem Sammelbecken (10), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Flüssigkeit (16) mittels eines in die Flüssigkeit eintauchenden, ein rotierendes Schneidrad (32) aufweisenden Schneidwerkes (18) vom Boden (12) des Sammelbeckens (10) angesaugt und nach Zerkleinerung der Späne mit dem Schneidwerk unmittelbar wieder in das Sammelbecken zurückgeleitet wird.
