The tuft picking device (1) according to the invention comprises a pressure piece (15) which is arranged on the tuft picking device (1) between a first edge (16) and an opposite second edge (17) of the tuft picking notch (6) for modifying the removal cross-section of the tuft picking notch (6) while being displaceable in said tuft picking notch.
