[origin: WO2017186343A1] The invention relates to a vibration absorber or damper which can be adapted to the disruptive sequences of a component to be damped or a machine or system to be damped over a specific range by means of a leaf spring with a variable physically effective length, said disruptive sequences acting in a specific direction. The invention relates in particular to a vibration absorber that is largely undamped itself such that larger amplitudes and therefore larger forces can be achieved. The damper according to the invention is suitable in particular for reducing the structure-borne noise in systems and machines, preferably wind turbines, which frequently undergo changes in rotational speed and are thus subject to vibrations.
