[origin: WO2017195455A1] An transmission apparatus of the present disclosure comprises a transmission signal generator which, in operation, generates a transmission signal that includes a legacy preamble, a non-legacy preamble and a data field, the non-legacy preamble comprises a signal field which carries a first control signaling indicating the number of spatial streams, Nss, in the data field and a second control signaling indicating a modulation scheme used in the data field; wherein in case that diversity transmission in the data field is enabled and two or more diversity transmission schemes are applicable to the modulation scheme used in the data field, the two or more diversity transmission schemes to be used in the data field are determined according to the value of Nss; and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits the generated transmission signal.
