Abstract (en)
There is disclosed a washing and/or drying machine (102,202) comprising a main body portion (104,204) and a drum (106,206) arranged for rotation within the main body portion (104,204). At least one movable element (216,218,220) is located on an inside surface of the drum (106,206), the at least one movable element (216,218,220) comprising a first magnet (226). The at least one movable element (216,218,220) is configured and arranged for movement between a non-extended position and an extended position for separating one or more items of a washing load from the inside surface of the drum (106,206). The movement of the movable element (216,218,220) is in response to the first magnet (226) of the movable element being positioned within a magnetic field of a second magnet (228). The second magnet (228) is positioned in the machine adjacent to the drum (106,206).
