Abstract (en)
An apparatus for the application of a substance to a ground surface, such as a road, comprises a frame (1) and a substance distributing assembly (2) mounted thereon. The substance distributing assembly (2) comprises a granulate hopper (10), a granulate dosing unit (11) connected to said granulate hopper (10), and a rubbing unit (12) with an annular rubbing element (13). The annular rubbing element (13) contacts the ground surface along an arcuate rubbing zone (22) and is driven to rotate about an axis (X) upstanding from the ground surface. The granulate dosing unit (11) comprises an outlet positioned to discharge the dosed granulate into the inner of the rotating annular rubbing element (13).
