Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017198973A1] The invention relates to a method for proposing a driving speed for a driver at the steering wheel of a vehicle, the method comprising the steps of: - estimating the maximum available grip potential at a given moment between a tyre of the vehicle and the roadway on a predetermined route to come, - determining, amongst a set of predetermined driving styles, secure styles for which the grip requirement on the predetermined route remains lower than the grip potential, - selecting a secure comfortable style from amongst these secure styles, according to a driver profile, - determining, according to this secure comfortable style and a location of the vehicle, a basic proposed driving speed on a section of route to come.
