Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2550365A] A pump component at least partially coated with a coating contain at least one alkoxysilane. The coating on the pump component in use, may be in contact with a work fluid. The component may be that of a liquid ring pump component, rotary vane pump component or screw pump component. The pump component may also be at least one of a rotor component, stator component and a rotor shaft component. The use of alkoxysilane is used to reduce friction and therefore reduced power consumed during operation of a wet pump.
