[origin: EP3459599A1] A semi-closed rebreather with two breathing bags (20, 40) and a canister(30) removing carbon dioxide from the exhaled breath, the rebreather using a "normal open" (NO) type of solenoid valve (80) to control the flow of replenishment gas supplied to the rebreather circuit by at least one replenishment gas cylinder (50), i.e. that, in the absence of energy, takes the open condition thereby allowing a replenishment gas flow with a maximum flow rate predetermined during the initial design or adjustment step.
