The loading/relief apparatus acts on a spring element to achieve pressure loading or relief. The loading/relief apparatus has an electric motor inoperative connection with at least one pressure element by which a pressure force is exerted or exertable on a spring element to achieve pressure loading or relief. The loading/relief apparatus has afirst carriage in drive connection with an electric motor and is translationally movable in the longitudinal direction of the support apparatus. The first carriage bears at least one arm whose free end carries the pressure element for load/relief of the spring elements.

Eine Stützeinrichtung 2 zur Abstützung einer Polsterung eines Sitz- und/oder Liegemöbels weist einen Federelemente 22, 24 aufweisenden Grundkörper 20 zur flächigen Abstützung der Polsterung und wenigstens eine Be-/Entlastungseinrichtung 26, 26' zum Erzielen einer Druckbe- oder -entlastung an der Polsterung auf, wobei die Be-/Entlastungseinrichtung 26, 26' zum Erzielen einer Druckbe- oder entlastung auf wenigstens ein Federelement 22, 24 einwirkt. Die Be-/Entlastungseinrichtung 26, 26' weist wenigstens einen Elektromotor 34 auf, der in Wirkungsverbindung mit wenigstens einem Druckelement 36 steht, mittels dessen zur Erzielung einer Druckbe- oder entlastung eine Druckkraft auf wenigstens ein Federelement 22, 24 ausübbar ist oder ausgeübt wird. Die Be-/Entlastungseinrichtung 26, 26' weist wenigstens einen mit einem Elektromotor 34 in Antriebsverbindung stehenden ersten Schlitten 28 auf, der in Längsrichtung der Stützeinrichtung 2 translatorisch beweglich ist, wobei der erste Schlitten 28 wenigstens einen Arm 33 trägt, dessen freies Ende das Druckelement 36 trägt zum Be-/Entlasten der Federelemente 22, 24.
