Abstract (en)
The present invention provides a control system (100, 200) for an elevator (150) with a passenger cabin (151, 251), the control system (100, 200) comprising a volume sensor (101) configured to sense the unoccupied volume (102) of the passenger cabin (151, 251), and a control unit (103, 203) coupled to the volume sensor (101) and configured to control the movement of the elevator (150) based on the unoccupied volume (102), wherein the control unit (103, 203) is configured to move the passenger cabin (151, 251) past an externally requested stop (152, 153, 154) if the unoccupied volume (102) is below a predetermined threshold value (104, 204). Further, the present invention provides a respective control method.
