To this end, each guying support (15) comprises a holding mechanism for the cable (16a, 16b). The invention also relates to a method for guying a telescoping jib of a mobile crane, particularly according to one of the claims 1 to 10, in which at least one cable (16a, 16b) is anchored between a guying frame (13a, 13b) on the telescoping jib consisting of a jib base casing (9) and a plurality of telescoping segments (10a-h) and a fixed point (20a, 20b) on the telescoping jib (8), and the at least one cable (16a, 16b) is guided by means of at least one guying support (15) supported on the jib base casing head (9a) or a telescoping segment head (10) of the telescoping jib (8).
