Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2017209627A1] A vending machine for selling or dispensing products to a user, including a casing (10) for storing and displaying the products (30, 31). The casing (10) has side walls (21), a transparent portion (14) which makes the products (30, 31) visible from outside the casing (10), and an aperture (15) for removing one or more products (30, 31) by hand. An aperture access enabling device (19) selectively enables or prevents access through the aperture (15) into the casing (10), and a weight recognition module (61) with one or more weight sensors (24) recognizes products (30,31) that are added to or removed from the vending machine. The one or more weight sensors (24) are positioned at the bottom of the casing (10), and a container (32) is positioned on top of the weight sensors (24). The container (32) has a base (52) and outer walls (50) that are substantially parallel with the side walls (21) of the casing (10) without interfering with the side walls (21).
